About

Built on Craftsmanship. Grounded in Community.

A second-generation family business serving Southeastern Michigan with pride

R And D Drywall Inc. is a family-owned company with deep roots in the Southeastern Michigan community. Founded in 1984 by Ronald Larkins, a master plasterer who began his journey at a young age, his business was built on hard work, precision, and pride in the craft. Today, the company continues under the next generation, with Shawn Larkins leading operations and carrying forward the same commitment to quality and integrity.

The business has grown into a full-service operation offering drywall, painting, carpentry, and more. While the services have expanded, the foundation remains the same: treat every home like it is your own and deliver results that last.

Experience You Can See in Every Detail

Skilled professionals matched to every phase of your project

Our team is built with purpose. Every project is handled by experienced professionals who specialize in their trade. We do not cut corners or mix roles. A drywall specialist handles drywall, a painter handles painting, and each phase of the job is completed by someone qualified to do it right.

Remodeling is one of our specialties, and we understand the importance of both function and finish. Whether you are updating a single room or transforming your entire home, we bring the skill and attention to detail needed to deliver a clean, polished result.

What sets our team apart:

Over 40 years of hands-on remodeling services and drywall experience

Dedicated specialists for each trade and service

Expertise in remodels, repairs, and custom finishes

High-quality painting services to complete every project

Fully insured company operating in the state of Michigan

Work backed by a one-year workmanship warranty

More Than a Contractor. Part of the Community.

Supporting local families, events, and the people we serve

R And D Drywall Inc. is proud to support the communities we serve. Our work extends beyond homes and job sites to include municipal projects across the region. We also support local events and initiatives that bring people together and strengthen our communities.

From sponsoring Movies in the Park to helping bring Santa to local events, supporting fireworks shows, and contributing to family activities like pony rides, we believe in giving back to the community that has supported us for decades.

At the same time, we have built our business around making projects easier for our customers. We can take your job from start to finish, coordinating multiple services and helping manage scheduling so you do not have to. For anything outside our scope, we provide access to a trusted network of preferred contractors, all without the added cost of builder markups.

What you can expect working with us:

A company built on referrals and long-term relationships

Community involvement that goes beyond the job

Start-to-finish project support

Scheduling coordination handled for you

Access to trusted preferred contractors when needed

Honest pricing without unnecessary markups
